Abstract Background: Simulation-based education is increasingly being embraced as a substitute for traditional methods of clinical education across health care professional training, to increase clinical education opportunities. Objectives: To describe the various uses of simulations in the Physiotherapy Department at Ariel University. Description of the simulations: The establishment of the Simulations Center at the University of Ariel opened new opportunities for the physiotherapy department staff to practice professional skills as part of the student training process. The use of the simulation technique enables the practice of many skills, both in the field of interpersonal communication and in the skills of treating respiratory patients. Conclusions: The use of simulation as part of the training program in Physical Therapy in Israel is innovative and given that it is currently in the process of being integrated into the curriculum, the researchers recommend conducting a study to quantify the effect of simulations on the students’ development process as therapists.
